Thanks PP, I see you've been getting a bit more of the green yourself lately which is nice. I like your thinking around the betfair plan and have been thinking about a similar plan myself but have been a bit time poor lately to be able to invest enough effort into it and also a lack of understanding. Question: with the betfair idea, what happens if you don't get matched at your selected odds due to an early goal? do you lose your stake or get refunded due to the odds dropping and the price never getting back to your nominated price because of additional goals/redcards etc?

Hi mate, nice work of late. Im testing out a new staking system. Basically I am using the same method to pick games but I am using Betfair to place the bets. I am only using 5 dollar bets on betfair in the trail phase. I got on that Paraguay tip yesterday between Olimpia v Luqeno BTTS. Starting odds were 2.10. But I got matched at 2.70 in play during the game. I was asleep at the time, but you get put your bets on and tick the in play box and the bet will get matched in play if the odds are reached. I have noticed the overs and BTTS markets move a lot in the first 10 mins of games, when traditionally there is less action. We have been undercutting our profits too long by taking starting odds. IF starting odds are 2.00, then Id put a back bet on betfair at 2.50 or 2.60 and hopefully get matched at those odds. IN the long term, this odd difference can make a massive difference.

Hi mate, you have a fair chunk of red, as do I. We are both struggling at the moment mate. Look on the bright side but mate, if you keep this streak of red up, we will have a fail safe system. Whatever you tip, just back the opposite and we cant lose!!! In all seriousness, stick at it mate, Im in a slump as well, whenever I look like getting into a groove and racking up some green, bang, in comes the red.

I know that feeling mate. Been taking a fair share of red the last few weeks - the followers should understand that making money on straight out betting is hard work - if followers ditch you when you are in a slump then they miss out on profit when you hit form. When you hit the streaks is when you make the profit - Im sure the stig agrees, often I might go 3 weeks with just small gains or a small lose, that cancel each other out, but on the 4th week you hit straight green and that gives you the profit for the month. Do that every month and you make money long term. You just got to keep playing games/odds that you think will give you profit long term. That's the only way to profit long term. Sure, I hate disappointing followers as well. But that is the game we play.

Thanks PP. Like yourself over the last couple of weeks some games got hurt by red cards, that's the way it goes. Still a bit surprised that none of the Argentinian tips didn't get up as was quite confident with those. More disappointed for the followers, hopefully can start to redeem myself over the coming months.

The main issue is with T20 and ODI cricket, especially during the latter end of the game. The odds can fluctuate with each ball, and the popularity of these sports means that sometimes the operators cant take your call straight away, especially at the end of the match. This is where inplay trading over the net is needed. Matchbook are a site that do also offer inplay trading to Australian residents over the net.

Hi KISC, There are bookmakers that offer live betting to Australian residents inplay over the net, 10bet is one of them, with a heap of markets. I'd be careful about using software to bet inplay with betfair. From what I have read/heard, eventually they will cotton on to the fact that you are using masking software and you risk being banned. Ringing up betfair to trade out of a bet inplay is quite easy over the phone. The operators know their way around the site and the sport is slower enough that 99% of the time, the odds will not change dramatically during the time you are on the phone.

Cheers PP, trying to only post when confident and the odds are right. Quality over quantity is my line of thought, and is more sustainable. Sure you're still gonna have the losses but I'll be happy if I can keep hitting around 60-65% s/r long term. Anything above that is just the cherry on top. Have been investing 5% of balance privately for a while now and is definitely the way to go.
